Gilberto Govi

Amerigo Armando Gilberto Govi (Genoa, 22 October 1885 – Genoa, 28 April 1966) was an Italian actor. Founder of the Genoese dialect theatre, he is considered one of the symbols of the city of the Lantern. His greatest successes include classics of this theatrical genre that have become his workhorses, such as I manezzi pe majâ na figgia, Pignasecca e Pignaverde, Colpi di timone. Also worth mentioning are Quello bonanima, Gildo Peragallo ingegnere, I Guastavino e i Passalacqua and Sotto a chi tocca.
