Frank Sinatra
Francis Albert Sinatra was born in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1915. His mother Dolly, of Ligurian origin (Tasso, in the municipality of Lumarzo), is a midwife while his father Martin, an amateur boxer of Sicilian origin (Palermo), is a fireman. One morning in the 1980s, Frank Sinatra, riding in a limousine through the winding roads of the Ligurian Apennines, is said to have visited incognito the hamlet of Rossi in the municipality of Lumarzo (Genoa), where Natalina ‘Dolly’ Garaventa, mother of ‘The Voice’, was born at the turn of the century.
